Pros:It was close to where I needed to be, there was ample parking, and the room was spacious for a historic home. The back yard and porch were beautiful.
Cons:For starters, I have never stayed anywhere before that I couldn't lock my door! That meant that I took my computer every time I left the room. The overall look of the place was rundown and shabby. The sheets had holes in them, the vinyl window shades were ripped, and every time you pulled them down, you knocked the cafe curtains down, because they were just propped up. One of the window sashes was difficult to open and close, and I was encouraged to leave my windows up, and only run the a/c unit when I absolutely needed it. It all seemed very makeshift. The room was full of kitch! I also wasn't impressed with the quality of breakfast. I love historic inns, and have stayed in several, but was very disappointed with this one. And to top it off, I have stayed in better hotels in NYC for what I paid for this place!
