We could not get the car due to a delay in our connecting flight but the service at FOCO was awful. No AC in the office in the scorching heat, a very, very long pickup procedure. Will not be renting with them in the future.

On 12/21/23, I was 3 hours late in picking up my rental car at FOCO, in Rio de Janeiro due to 6 hours layover in Sao Paulo by AZUL Airlines. This was not unexpected but the agent wanted to charge me an additional “no show” fee which is 50% of the total 12 days rental. I explained that I had no control over the airlines delay and how can he charge me a “no show” fee while I am standing in front of him. When I threatened to post his ridiculous shakedown video on the internet, he relented, so I thought. He also tried to sell me insurance which I declined and I showed him my State Farm policy that covers all my car rentals. However, I just noticed another $304.62 charged on my account which was not authorized.

The most horrible experience I ever had with a rental car company. Nobody showed up to pick me up at the airport despite of several calls. I waited for 90 minutes until I gave up. That was already 11:30pm. I couldn’t no longer wait. This is unacceptable.. totally ridiculous. I want my money back as I didn’t use your rental because YOU GUYS didn’t show up to pick me up. It is totally YOUR FAULT!!!
